Tristan’s mechanical journey started long before TW Autos. It began with a genuine interest in how things work, a love for cars, and years of practical experience across vehicles, machinery and engineering.
Early Passion
Tristan’s passion for cars and engineering began when he was 10. He started stock car racing at the local race track, developing a hands-on understanding of vehicles from an early age.
Classic Mini
Most evenings and weekends were spent tinkering with his classic Mini, working to get it performing the best it could. That practical approach helped build the foundation for a future in mechanics.
Vehicle Training
After leaving school, Tristan followed that passion into an apprenticeship in light vehicle servicing and repair at a local garage, gaining proper workshop experience and trade knowledge.
Mechanical discipline from the forces.
Tristan furthered the knowledge and skills gained in vehicle repair by moving onto bigger and more complex machinery on board Royal Navy submarines. During his time in the Royal Navy, he completed Level 2 maritime mechanical and electrical qualifications, along with multiple other engineering courses.
That ex-forces background brings a disciplined, precise and practical approach to TW Autos. Whether it is servicing, diagnostics or repair work, the focus is on doing the job properly, communicating clearly and bringing dependable mechanical support directly to the customer.
Returning home and bringing the garage to you.
The time has now come for Tristan to leave the military behind and return home to his wife and child. With that move, he decided to return to vehicle mechanics and create TW Autos — a mobile mechanic service designed to make repairs, servicing and diagnostics easier for local drivers.
